Sharing Sunday Roasts

Kingston's best Sunday Roast

Every Sunday roast at our pub is a proper, no-corners-cut, plates-piled-high affair (the kind Sundays were made for). Expect giant, table-dominating Yorkshire puddings (seriously, they barely fit on the plate), top-quality British meats cooked low-and-slow to juicy perfection, and the undisputed hero of the roast: our golden-crackling-outside, cloud-soft-inside roast potatoes (hands off – these are non-negotiable).

Then there’s the rich, glossy, boat-emptying gravy (yes, we encourage over-pouring). Whether you’re gathering the family, rounding up friends, or simply craving the best Sunday roast near you, this is your sign to book a table. Come hungry, leave happy, and consider your Sunday lunch plans officially sorted.

No awkward asking, no portion-counting — just plates-piled-high generosity, because the crispy-edged, dunkable, gravy-soaked bits are everyone’s favourite part of a proper Sunday lunch in Kingston.

Sunday snippets

Visited The Albert last Sunday and had a positive experience throughout my stay. Came in at lunchtime without a reservation and was given a good table indoors. Decided I wanted to try the Roast beef and compare it to other roasts I’ve had recently, and it’s safe to say I’ll be remembering this one as being the best. Alongside the good food I was served by a great member of their staff.

Superb Sunday roast for our families. A rare treat to have the chef walking the floor to see if anyone needs an extra Yorkshire pudding. The staff are making a special effort to make this a great pub for your Sunday lunch, thank you to Bart & the whole team.

One of the attractions of moving to Kingston Hill was being in walking distance of this pub - the first Sunday of this month we were looking for a place for four to eat lunch. Having to book on the day meant it was difficult to get booked in and The Albert was my fourth choice so I wasn't expecting to be so impressed. Eating at The Albert was an absolute pleasure. We were sat in a charming grown ups area. Large table, comfortable seating. The Sunday roasts were delicious and very generous. Mains were so substantial that we nearly declined desserts but ended up sharing a couple of desserts which were lovely. Staff looking after us were cheerful and attentive, so first rate. Will certainly be returning.
