Welcome to Kingston's top local
On Kingston Hill, right by Richmond Park and Norbiton station, you’ll find our one-of-a-kind (and impossible-to-miss) pub. Dating all the way back to 1855, we’re pretty well known for our belly-warming pub classics, legendary Sunday roasts, and a properly poured pint.
If our excellent food and the promise of crackling-fire cosiness and rich, complex red-wine moments aren’t enough reasons to swing by, we’ve got plenty more to tempt you. From our always-packed, brain-teasingly brilliant pub quiz to our community-focused, feel-good events that make autumn evenings feel extra special.
Planning a celebration? We’ve got semi-private and private spaces perfect for any gathering, enquire now and let’s get the party started.
Fiona and the team look forward to welcoming you

Best-of-British pub classics
Yep, we’ve got all those autumn-evening, comfort-craving favourites you’ve been longing for. Think crisp, golden fish and chips (best enjoyed with the crackle of the fire and the hum of pub chatter in the background), juicy, chargrilled-to-perfection burgers, hearty seasonal pies that warm you from the inside out, and Sunday roasts piled scandalously high with all the trimmings (because a roast without too many roasties is basically a national tragedy).
If you’re after something a little different, maybe a plant-powered plate, or a feast designed for sharing, we’ve still got you covered. Using only the freshest, British-grown, harvest-ready ingredients, our dishes are made to match the season: rich, hearty, and as true-to-the-pub as that first sip of a big, complex red wine while the windows fog up against the autumn chill.

Watch the Women's Rugby World Cup
Big screens. Bigger roars. Ice-cold pints. Let’s hear it for the Red Roses.
The Women’s Rugby World Cup is kicking off and we’re showing every bone-crunching tackle and pitch-splitting try live in the best way we know how: with proper pints, stacked plates, and shoulder-to-shoulder cheering in your favourite local.
Stick with us this summer as we roar on the Red Roses (and grumble at the ref, lovingly, of course). From the opening whistle to the last-minute drama, we’re going all in.
Don’t leave it too late, book your table, round up the gang, and let’s make this a summer to remember.

Christmas in Kingston
This Christmas, it’s less about silver platters and more about shoulder-to-shoulder, glass-in-hand moments. Our lovely pub will be twinkle-lit and holly-trimmed, buzzing with neighbours fresh from dog walks, families piling in for a proper feast, and old friends jostling for space at the bar (because that’s where the best stories get told).
We’re talking plate-passing, gravy-drizzling, pudding-polishing spreads that bring everyone together (and yes, someone will always shout “just one more round!” before the crackers are even pulled). From magnum-popping moments with your nearest and dearest to those chance catch-ups you only get at Christmas, it’s all happening here.
So pull up a pew, squeeze in beside our lovely locals, and let’s make this festive season a celebration worth stumbling home from.
